The Consell received 106 000 euros to address and prevent drug addiction.
Mahon (Menorca), July 20 .- The Consell de Menorca this year will receive 106,315 euros from the Government for care and prevention programs for drug addiction and other addictions through the agreement signed today by President of the insular institution, Marc Pons, and the minister Health, Vincent Thomas.
According to reported Minorcan Consell sources, these programs are part of the execution of the Plan, sto credits, of Action on Drug Addiction 2007-2011 Baleares.
The insular institution approved the Drug Addiction Plan 2009-2014, which marks the strategies for action in harmony with the standalone program.
Both administrations have joined forces in a single program of attention to drug abusers in Menorca, for which annual agreements signed between 2002 and 2009.
The Department of Health of the Government is committed to participate in the planning of care and prevention programs for drug addicts who develop the sites and services attached to the Consell de Menorca.
