UC begins on-line courses Self Development Program Competencies.
The Virtual Campus of the University of Cantabria (UC) has already begun to deliver on-line Self-Development Program Competencies (PACs, free setup and aimed at both students and academic staff of the institution.
Organized by the Vice-Rector for Academic, this program focuses on areas such as leadership, communication, teamwork, customer orientation, the overcoming of results, self-management and negotiation. The training is aimed at both students and staff of, sto energy credits , the UC.
This initiative was developed in collaboration with the Knowledge Engineering Institute (CII), and UC according to information gathered by Europa Press in its fifth edition is launched in the second quarter of 2009-2010.
This program aims to provide students with UC a series of courses on-line personal skill development. The mode of delivery will not face,, mortal gold, except a final test of evaluation in the case of seeking elective credits.
The training offer consists of a set of PACs (deAutodesarrollo Skills Programs) from which the student may choose one or more modules., Which include teamwork, communication, negotiation and leadership.
Students will learn techniques for conflict resolution, improving the working environment, nonverbal communication, the obstacles in the, fallen earth chips, negotiations, customer service or the address of people, including basic skills practitioners.
These courses are designed so that students can identify their strengths and weaknesses in a number of competencies that have proven to be of enormous importance to their employment.
Therefore, it is specifically targeted training to students who are in the academic conditions required to qualify for practice in companies (having passed a minimum of 50% of the credits of their curriculum.)
It may recognize three elective credits for each course within the section for courses of short duration, after passing a final exam for evaluation. In addition, the Knowledge Engineering Institute of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid issue a certificate of completion of the course.
Students who wish to know which is the most appropriate format PAC according to their characteristics, may perform a diagnostic test of training needs to be financed by the IIC.
The amount of tuition in each CAP is 81 euros, but the Vice President for Academic Affairs will offer a total of 200 scholarships partially covering tuition costs for one course. The scholarships will be awarded by order of registration, funding only a PAC per student. Those students who are afforded one of these scholarships must pay 40? for the course.
It is estimated that each PAC has a load of 30 hours is recommended to follow the course of two months. At the end of the program, students will obtain a certificate of completion issued by the Institute of Knowledge Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.
The different training modules are integrated in eDeveloper system, developed by the IIC. This method consists of a basic structure to which are added various coursesa modular fashion. Each of the courses allows the development of competition approached.
